Great intro for kids about the primary, secondary, warm, and cool colours.
To celebrate Autumn, we create some great Fall Inspired Art. We make Q-Tip Trees, and we make a Warm and Cool Background and Foreground using different lines and leaves....inspired by the video entitled "Warm and Cool Colours'.

Making a Landscape Using Complementary Colours
After reviewing the colour theory (primary, secondary, tertiary, warm and cool colours), we will create a landscape with complementary colours. We will integrate this art project with our Living in Ontario Unit. Students will look for landscape pictures of Ontario on the internet, and then attempt to re-create them using this video and my help! Learning Goal: 1.3 I will use the elements of design in art works to communicate ideas, messages, and understandings. |
